This Stotra was supposed to be composed of him when he rushed to take a last look at his guru. Intuitively, he realized that his guru was going to reach Maha Samadhi and hurried to go to the place to take a last look. At that time, his main disciple, Appannacharya, had gone to the other side of the river. Just before entering Samadhi, Guru Raghavendra told his followers that he would sit at the place where his Vrindavana would be built and that they should cover it with bricks and that the last brick would be placed when the Japa Mala would not be returned. He spent his childhood in Tamil Nadu and performed the Jeeva Samadhi in Manthralaya (Andhra Pradesh) on the banks of Thunga Bhadhra. Guru Raghavendra (1595-1671) is one of the greatest saints of Dvaita Sidhanta and is considered to be the embodiment of Prahladha.
